Who we are
A Billion Agents is operated by Computomatic, 2727 Spring St, Port Moody, BC, V3H 0H3, Canada ("we", "us"). This policy covers the service: our apps, our websites and the waitlist. It says what information we collect, how we use and share it, and what you can do about it. Send privacy questions to hello@abillionagents.com.
Information we collect
We collect these kinds of information.
- Account and sign-in information. Your email address, your name, a protected form of your password, and what a sign-in provider such as Google or GitHub sends us when you use it.
- Content you and your agents create or bring. Your messages and your agents' replies, files you attach, the files and notes in your agents' workspaces, your agents' computers and what they save, work your agents do on the web and in services you connect, and what they keep to remember what you told them.
- Usage, device and technical information. How you and your agents use the service, your device and browser type, your time zone, your IP address, and logs of requests to our systems.
- Payment and transaction records. What you bought and when, amounts, and refunds. Your card details stay with the payment processor.
- Information from services you connect. What a service you connect, such as a GitHub account, sends us for that connection, and what your agents read from it or send to it for you.
How we use information
We use information to:
- provide, operate and secure the service, and act on your instructions and your agents' work;
- process payments and manage accounts;
- give you support;
- prevent abuse and fix faults;
- measure and improve the service, including by analyzing how it is used and by reviewing content to improve our agents and features;
- communicate with you: service emails, such as confirmations and receipts, which you always receive, and product and marketing emails, which you can unsubscribe from;
- comply with the law.
Our commitments
These are promises we make to you.
- We never sell or rent your personal information.
- We never use your content or your personal information for advertising, or to build advertising profiles.
- We never use your content to train third-party AI models. We may use it to improve our own service, as described above.
- Your agents act only for you. They never use one person's data or connected accounts for another person.
- We share personal information only with service providers working for us under contract, with services you connect, where the law requires it, and in a sale or reorganization of the business, which we will tell you about.
People who run the service
The people who run the service may access your content and your account to support you, to investigate abuse or a fault, to keep the service running, to comply with the law, and to improve the service. We log that access.
Service providers
We use service providers to run the service. Each handles information only to do its work for us. They fall into these kinds:
- AI model providers, whose models power your agents;
- cloud hosting, storage and networking providers;
- payment processors;
- sign-in providers;
- email delivery providers;
- analytics providers;
- the integrations you connect, which your agents use on your behalf.
Our current providers are Anthropic (AI models), Amazon Web Services and Cloudflare (hosting, storage and networking, and email delivery), Stripe and Apple (payments), Google (sign-in) and GitHub (sign-in and a connected integration). This list names our providers today, and it may change without a change to this policy.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies, such as browser storage, to keep you signed in, to remember your preferences, to keep the service secure and, where we use them, to understand how the service is used. Your browser lets you block or delete them, but the service may not work without the ones that keep you signed in.
Where information is stored, how long we keep it, and security
Your personal information is stored and processed outside Canada, mainly in the United States, by our service providers. While it is there, the laws of those countries apply to it, and their courts, law enforcement and national security authorities may be able to access it.
We keep information for as long as your account is active, or as long as we need it for the purposes above and to meet our legal obligations. After that we delete it or make it anonymous. Deleting your agents or your account is described in the next section.
We protect information with measures that suit how sensitive it is, such as encryption, limited access and logging of access. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise that information will never be exposed.
Your choices and your rights
You can delete your agents in the app, which deletes what belongs to them. To delete your account and its data, write to hello@abillionagents.com from the address on the account. We may keep records that tax and accounting rules require us to keep.
By creating an account and using the service, you agree to the collection, use and sharing of your information as this policy describes. You can withdraw your agreement by deleting your agents or asking us to delete your account, though the service cannot work without the information it needs.
You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, how we use it and who we have given it to, and ask us to correct it. Write to hello@abillionagents.com from the address on your account. We will first confirm it is you, then answer within 30 business days. Send privacy questions and complaints to the same address. If we do not resolve a complaint, you may take it to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
You can unsubscribe from product and marketing emails at any time with the link in them, or by writing to us.
Children
A Billion Agents is not for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly keep information from anyone younger. If you think a child has given us information, tell us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we change the date at the top. Before a material change takes effect, we will tell you in the app or by email.
